Opioid Treatment Program

For almost 40 years, methadone treatment has helped stabilize lives where other forms of treatment have failed. Methadone treatment reduces the incidence of HIV and other infectious diseases, dramatically decreases criminal behavior, and improves significantly the lives of those engaged in treatment.

The Methadone Treatment Program at The Addiction Institute of New York is a comprehensive treatment program for individuals with an opioid addiction. In addition to the administration of methadone, we provide a full range of clinical services to meet the needs of our patients.

Goals of the Program
• To provide comprehensive services, i.e. counseling, psychiatric services, vocational counseling,
for individuals with an opioid addiction
• To provide substance abuse counseling (group and/or individual), in addition to medical and
  medication management
• To assist patients in achieving their goals and improving their quality of life

Core Program
